Very clean rooms! Whole facility was well kept and staff was friendly. Beds very comfortable but I was just especially pleased with how clean everything was. Would definitely stay again.

Was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Was concerned about my Keto diet, but breakfast had everything,,,,quite a spread for a hotel.

The view was a canopy and dry field, but that didn’t bother me. We were glad our room was on the top floor so we didn’t get the overhead noise. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but not unbearably uncomfortable. The breakfast was decent, except for the first day there wasn’t anyplace to sit because there were a lot of kids down in the dining room and we had to ask to sit with a friendly man.
The swimming pool and spa were nice except I wish kids under 16-18 years of age were not allowed in the spa, they just wanted to jump around in it while their parents were involved in their phones and conversations.
Overall the stay was nice and friendly staff.

Better than average Holiday Inn Express with very clean rooms. Gym needs updating.

I stayed 1 night at the Holiday Inn Express in Scottsbluff when passing through northwestern Nebraska and western Wyoming for business.
This is an older 1990s Holiday Inn Express that was renovated just before the pandemic. I last stayed here in 2020, when it still had a new paint smell.
On the whole, they've done an excellent job keeping the property look good despite it being a small building with one of the earliest Holiday Inn Express designs.
The lobby is refreshed but small. Especially the breakfast room area. They could really use an annex.
My room on the third floor was a little cramped. I think two people staying more than one or two nights would run out of space. But the room (again renovated before the pandemic) featured one of the newer designs. It had a seemingly endless number of accessible USB and electrical outlets. Most of them worked, although two USB outlets were nonfunctional. The TV was big and had a huge selection of channels.
The toilet and shower are in an old-fashioned water closet, separated from the sink, which is in the main room. That's something you see in older motels and older Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express designs. In the water closet, the shower is a bathtub with shower. I much prefer this to newer designs that remove the bathtub for a walk-in shower. I find the walk-in showers are never clean. The bathtub was spotless with no signs of mold or mildew.
There was a large armoire with plenty of hangers and then a luggage bench as well as wall-mounted hooks. So, at least you could put your luggage somewhere even if the room was smaller. Additionally, my room had a clock, in-room phone, medium-sized refrigerator, a microwave, and Keurig coffeemaker. The toiletries have been replaced with dispensers. Hand wash and lotion by the silk on the wall and then shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Housekeeping does an excellent job. The room was spotless. Cleanliness is excellent. The room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've received in a long time.
Breakfast was the typical Holiday Inn Express buffet. Nothing extra.
At night, at least during my stay, the hotel was offering a 2-hour happy hour reception from 5 to 7 pm with three kinds of beer and assorted foods. The beer selection consisted of Miller Lite and two kinds of German beer. This was free for all guests. I don't know if it was a one-time thing or what. While I don't drink beer, it was very generous.
In the lobby were free copies of the local newspaper and also a rack with with assorted tourist brochures.
If I had complaints:
1) Noise insulation is horrible. You can hear the outside noise, including cars and trains.
2) IHG elite status recognition is nonexistent. I don't have high expectations at a Holiday Inn Express but the front desk clerk could have at least thanked me for my status (IHG Diamond and Intercontinental Ambassador) and offered me a bottle of water or something from the pantry off the side of the lobby. The pantry has assorted drinks and snacks.
3) The gym is below-standard. Two old treadmills and one old bike. That's it. No weights. No mats. There's plenty of space for more equipment.
4) No bar of soap is provided; just an empty dispenser with hand wash.
All things considered, this is a very good Holiday Inn Express. Certainly better than average.
