Unclean & Unsafe
Reserved a suite for the weekend, two nights. First, I was called the day before our planned arrival. I was offered a different room because there were no suites available. I am totally amenable to a non suite, but two beds were still needed. He kept offering me two separate rooms - for myself and 2 people under 18. I persisted that that would be okay, but only if they were adjoined or just one room with two beds. I felt like I had to push that we were not going to be separated. Only needed one room, two beds. The man finally agreed and that was that.
Upon arrival, the suite was available. Plans back on as planned. So wrong.
Arrived to the motel to check in, given directions to the suite : from the front desk, go around the back of their poorly lit parking lot, up the stairs, across a breezeway, and down quite a bit from the car. I asked for something closer to the car for safety and they said this was all they had available. Made our way to the suite, the door is wide open, the room is dark. I have a personal safety device well versed in using it, so I enter, turned on lights only to find complete filth. Urine on the sheets. Dirt and debris everywhere on the floor. The couch is covered in stains and filth. Don't even get me started on the odor.
Make our way back to the front desk. I tell them no way I'm staying in that room with a door that doesn't latch, the filth, and the stains. Urine marks were on the sheets. The employee walked me to the first suite to see what I was talking about. As if I could make this up.
By another miracle there's another suite available and it's closer to the stairs. The beds are clean enough in the 2nd suite and we were exhausted from driving. The rest of the place was just as filthy. Thankfully I had cleaning supplies in my car, because the toilet and tub were atrocious with reminents of other people's bodily functions still on the toilet. We intended this to be a two night stay, was only there for one night. We cancelled our plans and checked out before noon.
I honestly cannot believe Wyndham has any association with this facility.
I have worked in service my whole life. From hotels, to restaurants, and in healthcare for 20 years. I do not make negative posts ever. But I seriously cannot shake the feels I got from being pushed/offered to be put in two separate rooms to the sudden availability of the two different suites, the first of which did not have a working door latch.

The room was on the inside of a row and had no parking. We had to park around the other side and walk all the way around while hauling a baby and of our stuff. The wallway/breezeway was poorly lit and uncomfortable.
Once we got in we noticed that it was in need of repairs. The floor was coming up in some places. The bathroom door doesn’t fully shut or latch. There are some holes in the ceilings and walls.
It also wasnt very clean. The kitchenette sink was filthy. The bathtub had hair in it. There was a dirty towel on the shower bar. It also needed to be swept everywhere. One of the beds had a stained sheet.
The TV selection is very limited. There was no channel guide. There was nothing about the wifi (you don't need a password) and nothing that listed the motel address or phone number. We also only had one towel in the whole room...
However, the amount of space in the room was good and the beds were fairly comfortable.
A little more attention and effort in the cleaning and stocking would go a long way no matter what, but based on the condition of the room and limited amenities, they shoukd charge less. (We paid $100 with all the taxes and such for a double suite).
