Simple. Basic. Did the job.

After reading some of the reviews on here I was expecting the worst; unclean rooms and unfriendly staff.
I found the experience to be quite pleasant. We were greeted warmly by reception who checked us in quickly. Bear in mind you’re only given one keycard for the room so I’m not sure but you might be able to request two if needed, but it’s not a given.
The lobby area was clean and pleasant; smelt nice and was tidy. There were fridges with food and drinks available.
Our room was on the 8th floor so we used the lift (activated by keycard). The room itself was clean, the double bed was comfortable. You’re also presented with a desk and basic stool, a small tv and two sockets. There aren’t any sockets by the bed though so be warned!
The window opens a smidge, which is always nice for some fresh air. The shower is standalone that backs straight onto the living space, the sink is also situated separately and the toilet also in its own cubicle.
They provide you with a 3 in 1 hair, body and hand wash both by the sink and in the shower, two small towels and a towel draped over the shower which we used as a makeshift bath mat (the real deal is available at reception)
There is no kettle in the room.
All in all for £80 (Saturday night) was a bit steep, but for a one night stop over it is convenient!

Don’t put yourself through this experience!

You really do get what you pay for with this hotel. However we’ve stayed in hotels for the same price and had a much better experience.
The rooms are tiny, I swear a prison cell is bigger, the shower and toilet and bed are all in the same room. The showers not so much as a problem but if your sharing a room and want to go to the toilet privately you cannot.
You cannot have the heating above or below 20°c.
The tv cannot go about 20 either, so it’s very quiet.
The room is relatively clean, there is a spider nest in the corner of our room, and it looks like there is dry spit on the wall and the blind looks like it’s splatted with blood.
There’s only 2 plug sockets which is by the tv, it could do with some more outlets by the bed.
And the breakfast was not as expected, the pastries were very small, you could have a choice of cereals which wasn’t so bad, or a glass of yogurt, theres also the option of toast and their were slices of ham and cheese, there wasn’t any cooked food available which I’ve never experienced at any other hotel.
In a positive note the beds were very comfortable and check out it at 12 o’clock, that’s if your brave enough to stay here that long!
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, which is another positive.
But I would definitely not recommend staying here

Great hotel - you get what you pay for!

Great little budget hotel. We stayed here for the night after the Pantera gig at the arena. Location is ten minutes walk from Leeds station and fifteen minutes from the arena. Clean throughout, staff very friendly & helpful. There's the opption to buy drinks and snacks down in the main foyer area and the option of a continental style breakfast (We didn't get that so can't say much on it). The rooms are compact and basic, you get what you pay for. I was in one of the double rooms with a double bed and bunk bed above itbut I reckon if you have more than two in there it could get very cramped! With that in mind, note that the showers open up into the room itself, so be careful with who you're sharing a room with! Bed was comfy, room was warm, nice powerful shower. The only thing I could knock it down for is the lack of a kettle in the room. I know it's a budget hotel, but just a cheap kettle and some coffee/tea sachets wouldn't go amiss? Perfect for one nights stay I think, I don't think i'd do multiple nights.
If you just need a room for the night after an event or night out, this place is perfect. Just don't go in expecting something similar to a premier inn, as it clearly states it's a budget hotel.

Freezing cold room, no blankets provided and poor service

My room was freezing cold, with inadequate heating and bedding provided. Large gaps have been left in the walls from electrical work and cold air was constantly streaming in from outside. Reception did not answer their phone on the several attemps I made to phone. After blocking up all the holes I could find with some clothing and wearing the rest, I slept for a couple hours. The next day, I asked reception at 3pm for a blanket for 2nd night. They could not find any blankets. After requesting several times, bedding from a vacant room was brought to my room 7 hours later at 10pm.
