Excellent service, thoughtful staff, beautiful location

I stayed here as part of a large group of westerners, in town for a wedding, and although the staff don't speak a lot of English, they tried their hardest to prepare for our arrival by translating various things ahead of time and were cheerful, charming and good humoured throughout. The onsen has a rotemburo, which is lovely. The tatami rooms are perhaps a little nicer than the western rooms, but either way, the garden views are terrific and the breakfast buffet was generous with a wide selection to suit all appetites.

GPS was inaccurate as it leads you to no where. However, it has a fantastic view was someone who enjoys serenity and wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Traditional Breakfast was served and it was good.

収穫祭と松茸懐石を堪能

長野県麻績村にある洒落たレストランホテル。今年は、麻績村の収穫祭と松茸懐石を楽しみました。
収穫祭では、地産の野菜に加えて、採れたての松茸が並ぶ。人気の麻績牛のステーキ肉には、朝から行列。余興に、子供達の聖太鼓などもあり、楽しい収穫祭でした。
翌日は、ジェンガルデンレストランで、松茸懐石を堪能。いつもながら、このお値段で、こんなにたくさんの松茸料理が楽しめるなんて。来年もまたきます、

穴場かも。

ふるさと納税がらみで宿泊したのでそれほど期待していなかったのですが、なかなか良かったです。村営から民営に移ったようで日帰り入浴客など地元の人たちの利用も多そうです。建物は新しくないですが、清潔で庭側の部屋からの景色は雰囲気が良いです。（前日小雨だったので、朝刻々と変化する雲海を見れてラッキーでした。）朝食は普通ですが、夕食はあゆの塩焼きでなく特別な味付けの味噌の包み焼など工夫したものがいろいろ出て期待以上に美味しかったです。地元のお婆さんとお喋りしながら朝の周辺の散歩をしましたが、景色も良く素朴なこの地はもっともっと良さをだせそうな気がしました。
