Disgusting Conditions and Appalling Service at Hotel Nagasaki
After checking in, we entered the lift and immediately knew we made a mistake booking this place. The elevator floor was in a terrible state of disrepair - see picture.
We booked a large room with two beds set up by the hotel and two bedding required to be set up by guests on the tatami. Never had to set up my own bedding in a hotel before but sure, whatever. However, what we found in the bedding cupboard was utterly revolting. The pillows, sheets, and blankets were covered in stains and hair—completely unhygienic and unacceptable for any accommodation, let alone one that charges guests for a stay. I took photos of the disgusting state of these items. see below.
When I went to the reception at approximately 10:30 PM to report this, there was no one available. Never seen a hotel unattended at 10:30PM. With no assistance and nowhere to turn, two of us were forced to sleep on the hard floor because using that filthy bedding was simply out of the question.
The following morning, when I raised my concerns with reception, I was met with rudeness and outright dismissal. The staff member’s response was a sarcastic “thank you,” with no apology or acknowledgment of the unacceptable conditions we endured. This level of disrespect added insult to injury and made it clear that your establishment does not care about its guests.
This experience was beyond unacceptable—your hotel failed to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness, service, and hospitality. Extremely disappointed with the experience.
