Hotel is in a great location, about 700m straightline walk from karuizawa train station. Room is compact but you have everything and is clean, amenities are provided at the lobby and you can take as needed, such as toner, cleanser and cream, hair brush, toothbrush, there's even body scrub. There's drinks provided for guests, you can have tea or coffee at all times. Hotel breakfast comes in brunch menu, food is nice and fresh. There's a also a lot of restaurants along this street so not to worry.

Staying at the TWIN-LINE HOTEL KARUIZAWA JAPAN was a mixed experience. If you're planning to share a room with children over six years old, be aware that the hotel requires you to purchase an additional room, which can be inconvenient and costly for families. The location is less than ideal, with no convenience stores nearby and a limited selection of restaurants in the area, making it challenging to find dining options. Parking was another drawback; the connected car park is very small, and we were directed to a second car park a block away. While not extremely far, it was inconvenient for unloading and loading our luggage. The hotel service was okay but slightly below the exceptional standards we've come to expect in Japan. On the brighter side, their happy hour was carried out quite well and was the highlight of our stay. The room itself was disappointingly dark, even with all the lights turned on, which affected the overall ambiance. While there were some positive aspects, the combination of location issues and other inconveniences made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.

この度はTWIN-LINE HOTEL軽井沢にご宿泊いただきまして誠にありがとうございます。
大変恐れ入りますが当ホテルでは6歳以上の方は等しく1名とし、1名分の宿泊料をいただいております。そして宿泊料が発生する2名以上が同室に宿泊できる客室はありません。
無料で宿泊できるのは、5歳以下の幼児が1室に1名のみになります。
当ホテルはそのように宿泊料金を定めておりますのでお子様連れでご宿泊された場合、小学生の宿泊料が無料もしくは割引になるホテルに比べて宿泊料が高くなるのは事実でございます。
子供なのだから添い寝でかまわないとお客様が思われても、それを決める権限はホテルのものであり、お客様にはありません。
そして当ホテルは開業にあたり消防法に基づいて客室定員を2名（各室１名までの幼児を除く）までと届け出をしておりますので、それ以上の人数を同室に宿泊させることは日本の法律により禁じられております。
ですから、定員を超えるお客様には現地で追加の宿泊料をお支払いいただき、お部屋をご用意させていただかなければなりません。
そして、私どもではお客様方には心静かにお休みいただきたく照明をあえて抑えております。しかし、暗すぎるとのお声もいただいておりますのでお貸出し品にデスクライトや読書灯等をご用意いたしました。
また、都会であれば多くのレストランやコンビニ、その他のショップが通りに並んでいるでしょうが、軽井沢は田舎ですので、もともとそのような便利で賑やかな街ではありません。
都会の方には驚かれることも多いのですが、コンビニまで徒歩10分は、軽井沢の環境ではかなり近い方です。
どうぞご理解の程お願い申し上げます。

The food quality of the Spanish set dinner and breakfast was excellent and beyond our expectation. All the staff including front desk and restaurant were very friendly and hospitable. The location is convenient and walkable from bus station or to the shops, the rental of bicycles was included in the room rate. Many places are accessible by bicycles and kind of convenient to cycling around. The free flow drinks and snacks was a very kind gesture and face masks were very thoughtful room amenities for the dry weather. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to next visit soon.

A stylish hotel, yet filled with vibrance. The fine dinning experience was great. Comfortable beds, though standard rooms are quite small. Amenitie add-ons including hot bath salt self help counter and facial masks, free drinks and snacks after dinner made it very enjoyable after a long day's walk.

Location is very good. Walking distance to lots of nice restaurants.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Really enjoyed the complimentary free flow of drinks and snack in the evening.
The room is relatively small but have enough space to put all our stuff.
