"Battery Recharge"
Hotel location is fairly central to this sprawling resort,bus stops near enough outside on the one main street that the resort sits on,with a few decent supermarkets over the road and very decent tavernas and restaurants close by serving a variety of different cuisines!
Entering the hotel is like a cool oasis,everywhere is glistening white and has a modern decor,very clean,modern and bright.
Michelle,who seems to be the receptionist on duty 7 days a week,12 hours a day is very friendly,welcoming,helpful and knowledgeable.
Apartments are spacious and clean and like so many hotels,minimalistic,there being twin beds with side tables,a desk/dressing unit on which sits a tray with an electric kettle,cups,tea and coffee,both the last two replenished daily! The unit also incorporates a decent sized fridge to keep both food and drinks in.A large built-in double wardrobe with drawers sits in the corner incorporating again,a decent size safe,which easily housed all our documents,jewellery,tablet,3 cameras,house keys etc.and unusual....no charge for using!A 3 seater settee and wall mounted large t.v. completed the fixtures,though no English channels.
Each apartment comes with a small terrace with a table and 2 chairs.
We had a road facing apartment(310),no problem of a night with traffic noise,so my wife tells me,and she's a light sleeper,unlike me!There is an electrically operated blackout blind,operated by switches bedside if noise or light bothers you,though we didn't need it!
Bathroom,again spotless,but nevertheless,typically Greek,low level w.c.,sink unit,large mirror,wall shower,shower screen,and a drain hole in the floor,meaning you get the usual flooded floor!
Cleaners where amazing,in every day,made the beds,emptied the bins,mopped the floors and kept you supplied with loo rolls etc and I lost count of the towel changes!Bedding also changed.
The grounds were well kept,large swimming pool,unheated,plus a paddling pool.Plenty of sunloungers,look antiquated,boxed in bases and deckchair type backs,but,boy,are a lot more comfortable than the modern type,you can get up and down off them no trouble and no danger of "tipping up",no ridges in your back!Poolside bar,reasonable priced drinks,snacks/ice creams also available.
Don't want to sit poolside?Down the steps and onto the hotels' private bit of beach,use its sun loungers and have a paddle in the sea!
The views from the hotels' terrace over the Bay of Kefalos are magnificent!
Breakfast was the same choice every day.....cereals,toast/croissants,jams and yoghurts,ham,cheese,salad items and yes....bacon,mini frankfurters,eggs 3 ways,boiled,scrambled and fried,mushrooms,COLD baked beans(?) as well as other various items that I wouldn't include on a breakfast menu!
As the trays of food emptied,you only had to ask one of the dining room assistants for a refill and they'd oblige! To be honest even with all the choice,breakfast was a letdown!
This is the place we plan to come back to next year,really worth the money!

Be careful! Hotel cancels confirmed bookings shortly before the start of the booked period.
Luckily booking.com saved us our holiday.
