Clean quite hotel

Nice quiet business type hotel. Comfortable bed. The room was very Clean. Restaurant and bar on site. Easy in and out. The staff was all very friendly and engaging, all with a friendly smile
I'd stay next time here if in Orlando for business. A+

Team member experience

We loved how close this was from universal. My cousin and I drove here from west palm to attend the rock the universe event. We checked in before we went to the event and the person who checked us in wasn’t very friendly. She was eating candy and was on her phone and didn’t have us feel welcomed. At first she stated she didn’t have our room ready and then asked for my last name and then it was ready. After the event we arrived around 2am with food to bring to the room, it was a different team member that was at the desk and we just passed by to head to our room and we said have a great night. We saw a cool thing in the lobby that looked like fire so we went closer to it and he yelled at us and said lobby was closed and we stated “we were just checking out this cool fire place but I guess it’s not fire it’s smoke” and he said “yes it’s fancy smoke, now can you just please head to the elevators I’m having a bad f**** shift and I just can’t deal with it. We are booked”
My cousin and I were so confused because we literally just stopped to look at the fire thing that was on our way to the elevator. He did not have us feel welcomed and spoke to us like we were children in trouble and that he didn’t want any presences around him. I work in hospitality and honestly disappointed that BOTH encounters we had with team members weren’t welcoming. Especially after seeing great reviews about the staff.
The place is nice and cleaned, but still needs to have great hospitality to make the experience even better

Didn't Have A Problem

We stayed here for 2 nights, before traveling to Naples. We knew the area, because we have stayed at the JW, in the past. It is a little hard to find in the evening, depending on what street you come in. A new building is being built in front of the hotel, so it's a little bit difficult.
Other than that, we didn't have any problems or issues with our stay. We found the employees to be hospitable and accommodating. The room was clean and everything functioned as required.
They are changing the lobby area, but this did not interfere with our stay.
As a matter of fact, we tried to return to this hotel, once we returned from Naples, before going home, but it was booked and we couldn't get a reservation. So much for people not liking the place...
As for most Marriotts, pillows are soft, they should be firmer.
We would return.

I was really impressed with this hotel. Everything was immaculate. If I had one complaint it would be about parking. A lot of of the parking in front of the hotel was blocked off for 10 minute parking and having a two-year-old it really wasn't convenient for us however, everything else was great.

We arrived at 4pm to check in, the front desk lady was not friendly at all and very frustrated told me that there were no rooms cleaned. We left and came back after 10 pm, the same lady with her same unfriendly and frustrated attitude told us that she only had rooms in the first floor and continued complaining about the horrible day she was having in the hotel. Dreadful service, the only reason I don't give a 1 star is because on Saturday for breakfast, the lady was very friendly and happy, our breakfast at the hotel was great, then on Sunday for our check out, the 2 ladies that assisted me with questions on my bill were also very friendly and even though they couldn't give me a good explanation for the problem, they were still nice and friendly.
