Great Hotel, Great Staff, Great Holidays
The apartments have a kitchenette, living and dining area, bedroom, bathroom and private balcony. In recent years the rooms have been renovated and now have a modern, relaxing character in dark, stylish colors. Rooms facing the pool are recommended for morning sun and rooms facing the city for afternoon/evening sun. The rooms are cleaned daily. Big compliments to the cleaners: you're doing a great job!
The hotel is centrally located: 5 minutes to the nearest bus station, 10 minutes to the Yumbo center, where the nightlife is raging and 10 minutes to the (large) supermarket. A smaller supermarket is right around the corner.
The staff is great, helpful, friendly and there 24/7. Thanks for the great service and the warm welcome at reception - Kevin, Carmen and Pancho solve all problems and fulfill wishes! Thanks to the service and the great drinks by the pool - Rayco and Luis are great!
The well-kept facility, the relaxed atmosphere, the chilled background music, the weekly party program and the familiar approach to the staff is what we call the "Axel feeling" - we are looking forward to the coming summer!

Yet again they smashed it!
Kevin and everyone you come in contact with really do care! The lady on the desk when I arrived remembered me (28th 3pm) and the lady on checkout today (7th) was fab sorting out a taxi ! There was also a tall young man I think may have been new but he stood out polite and very friendly.
Keep doing what you do!
And thank you again for making me feel so welcome.
Looking forward to planning my next visit.

FALSE advertising
Nothing against the community, just my partner and I had quite the shock and had to reorganise our holiday when doing thorough research (this applies for 3rd party website bookings only)

Great staff and service but time for a renovation
The location is fantastic if you want to be close to the centre/shops and don’t mind a 20min walk yo the beach: , and the facilities are… OK. It’s clear that the employees are dedicated to making your stay enjoyable. I’d like to give a special shout-out to the ever-smiling Carmelo and Reyco in the restaurant – the breakfast buffet was very good, though I think it could benefit from a bit more veggie options: e.g. in 2025 you cannot get away with not having a plant milk - lactose-free won’t cut it anymore, guys…
As a three-star hotel, it provides what you’d expect, but the positive attitude of the staff almost makes up for any shortcomings in the decor or facilities.
However, I do have some downsides to mention. This property is getting dangerously close to needing updates and renovations. I stayed here 5 years ago, and the rooms haven’t changed at all. The same plastic-feel sofa was there (and stained, by the way), the same furniture, and still not enough light in the room: I don’t understand why they were designed that way – other hotels solve this issue by adding one or two floor-standing lamps. Also, there were no USB points, and the Samsung TV in the room resembled the one I had during my student years.
The air conditioning unit wasn’t particularly clean either. Covered with a thick layer of dust on the blades.
Overall, it’s a pleasant stay, and the staff are happy and friendly, but -pay attention, HQ management : it would be great to see some updates in the near future.
