The luxemon qinibagh hotel kashgar Prefecture (Kashi Zunmao Qiniwake Jiudian) is 21 minutes' drive from Kashgar Airport and 14 minutes' from Kashi Railway Station. This hotel used to be the British Consulate General in Kashgar. This Kashgar hotel has a variety of guestrooms and suites to meet different needs. I could not stay in the North tower, which looked like it was built in 1950s and have not been maintained or properly cleaned for 30 years. The carpet on the staircase was crumbled (see picture), like someone threw a crumbled towel on the floor. It was just disgusting.
I paid for an upgrade to the main hotel tower. The rooms were much better than North Tower, but the signs of age, neglect and bad housekeeping were there. Floors were filthy, and the packaging of my tea bag had a hole (see picture).
Please choose another hotel if you can. Do not be tempted to stay here just because it is close to the Old Town.
