Centrally located hotel with great breakfast

The hotel is located in the city center of Obernburg and directly on the Franconian red wine hiking trail we walked. We were greeted very friendly, the rooms are decorated with quite old-fashioned furniture, but were absolutely functional and clean. Although the hotel is located on the thoroughfare, we had no noise and could sleep great. The breakfast was sensational, huge selection and great taste. Overall, we felt very comfortable and at a very good price/performance ratio.

Back again

4 trips so far and have now tried them all.returned back to my favourite hotel romerhoff. Excellent staff and great rates.great menu selection that's reasonably priced.rooms vary but no 2 is the best so far.

fair hotel and but the food is great.

Hotel a little lived in ...wardrope door handle came off in my hand and stepping in the bathroom was liking going into a caravan bathroom....The guest rooms are a good 5 minutres walk from the main hoitel. But all that aside the room was adiquate and clean. Now to the evening meal...that was good..I had a local mixed grill served on a coal shovel..yep it was....very good as was the local beers. The breakfast in the moring was basic but tasty..all in all I would stay there again on my next visit. Oh the town of Obernburg is also very nice and worth a few more hours than the one I was able to give it to explore.

Great choice when visiting Obernburg or local area

I have stayed at the Roemerhof hotel in Obernburg on a number of occassions over the last three year when visiting a local company. Classed officially (I think) as a three star, it is a family run establishment which is very clean, has excellent food and good overnight rates. It is my first choice when visiting the area.
The hotel is popular with the locals in the evenings for meals and also in the mornings you may find you share breakfast with some passing cyclists. The staff are friendly and have good English. However, menu's are only in German so it helps if you have a little of the language or have a phone app / book to help. Set in an older building adjoining the town walls, there is indoor seating and a nice outdoor area / beer garden. Evening food is very good. Breakfast is continental but has all the basics.
Internet access in the room is free and good quality. All rooms are plain and simple but very clean. Basic toiletries are provided and showers always have hot water. There is a TV in every room with the basic local service.
Parking is available on the road locally. The location is close to the centre of the town so you can walk in to try one of the other restaurants, coffee shops or fast food outlets.
This is a small hotel so there are no fitness facilities but ample opportunity to go for a run; a public park and pathways along the river are available. Also bear in mind that there is no air conditioning so in the summer the rooms can be quite hot at night. Fans are available.
Tips:
1. The bar only stocks water for you to take back to your room, therefore if you like a drink in the night of anything else, you need to buy a bottle from a store on the way.
2. The rooms tend to have net curtains only so if you like to have a dark room to sleep in you should take along a mask.

Zimmer im Gästehaus

Leider haben wir es nicht gecheckt dass wir das Zimmer im Gästehaus rund 500m weiter an der Hauptstrasse gebucht haben. Das Zimmer war einfach aber ok. Der Lärm frühmorgens hält sich in Grenzen. Nur waren die Velos eben im Hotel untergebracht und auch das Frühstück wurde dort angeboten.
