Conveniently located hotel close to the Autobahn 5, located in a charming old building. Lovely furniture in the room, yet the fixtures in the bathroom are a little dated.
Comfortable bed, very quiet surroundings and free parking overnight. Definitely recommend, good cost/performance!

This was a nice little German older hotel in the center of a small town. Parking was easy and there was a nice included breakfast.
The only problem was the heat in my room was not working and after hours there is no one there to help. It was cold outside, and I had to use the comforter from the other bed and wear two shirts to be warm enough to sleep.
In the morning the man at the front desk said “yes, we are working on it,” which didn’t help the night before and he offered nothing more — but he made it sound like they knew about it, so why would they have put me in such a room?

Unprofessional

Totally unacceptable!!! I had an interview for breakfast staff today and I was on time for my appointment. The old man in entrance was extremely unfriendly. I've waited 40 minutes, no info, no drink without absolutely nothing. Later I saw a wide awake boss and of course with no excuse, only I learned that she has to go. But she wants me to do a trial work with another colleague first without having a conversation. People are simply unacceptable and of course not professional. Hotel Gastronomy in Germany 2024 warm welcome!!
You don't have to give your money to irresponsible people. Be careful!!

Fine hotel, helpful employee.
Pool only open in the afternoon and until 10pm, so don’t count on a morning swim.

Amazing food, OK hotel.

The positives: it is a pretty large hotel with the charme of an old german building. Beds are fairly comfortable, rooms have a good size, baths are clean and staff is friendly. The pool is a nice addition and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The restaurant needs a special mention because it is great in every way one could wish for. Food, service, prices.... everything is fantastic and way above average. It is a pity that the hotel part is not up to the same standard.
Negatives: The interior is a bit outdated. When it's warm outside, the rooms are very warm, and there's no air conditioning. Some less accessible corners in the room were full of spiderwebs. The swimming pool is nice and the area is clean, but it needs a renovation. Paint is chipping off the walls in that room due to moisture, but the kids had fun nonetheless. Checkout is at 11, but at 10.30, someone came into our room unannounced and without knocking, which was not great.
Overall, I liked it here, especially because of the amazing restaurant and its staff who made us feel welcome and took care of us. If we didn't try the restaurant, the overall experience would have probably been a lot more disappointing but certainly not bad.
